The Russian word "vokzal" came from the English word Vauxhall. They become the best examples of Moscow architecture. The stations were meant to become examples of the individual approach of their creators, the best architects: I.I. Rerberg, F.I. Shekhtel, A.V. Shchukin, V.G. Shukhov, etc. Among the painters who decorated their walls and elevation of buildings are: A.N. Benua, B.M. Kustodiev, E. E. Lancere, Z.E. Serebriakova, etc The book also contains the history of these projects and buildings with interesting less known details. Bibliography.
