Language: RussianLieutenant Andrei Rozen (1800-84) joined the Decembrist society several days before the Rebellion. In exile, he vowed that he would collect the truthful information about the movement and its historical meaning, his comrades-in-arm, and made it public. This collection is the first publication of his letters (1824-1884) and one more valuable source about his friends, who he considered as best people he ever met. Leo Tolstoi read his letters and wanted them to be published. The letters are given in modern orthography. Archeographic comments, appendices. Name index. Also available "Zapiski Dekabrista" (2007).
