This 36th volume of the series deals with the history of the Russian Orthodox Church in Ukraine in 1917-1943. According to the author, all isolation movements during the Bolshevik dictatorship were supported and even initiated by the bodies of soviet power in order to weaken the Church. All isolation groups and dissents, including the Ukrainian Autonomous Orthodox Church (Ukrainskaia Avto Kefal`naia Pravoslavnaia Tserkov`) acted by the same script, and used the same tactics of deception and demagoguery. This book is the doctoral thesis of the Metropolitan of Omsk and Tarsk Feodosii (Igor` Protsiuk, b. 1927) finished at the end of the 1970s. The bibliography on the issues is brought up to date (pp. 626-628). Appendices include a list of Ukrainian isolation movements and their eparchies, biographical data, name index.
