Since 1989 Panorama of Russia has specialized in academic and reference publications from the Russian Federation and the Commonwealth of Independent States.
This is a collection of articles about Russian music published in the periodical Neprikosnovennyi Zapas (Untouchable Reserve). It deals with the most dramatic shifts experienced by modern music. According to the author, the 1970s completed the 19th century, which extended far beyond its calendar boundaries both in culture generally and in music. Music began to withdraw from the framework of the author`s originality and turned to real aspects of life, which in the book is called "the art of distribution". The turn of the 1970s was reflected in various ways in the creative endeavors of the Russian composers to each of whom a whole chapter is devoted. These include: G. Sviridov, A. Schnitke, S. Gubaidulina, V. Sil`vestrov, A. Karamanov, G. Ustvol`skaia, N. Sidel`nikov, A. Pyart, V. Martynov, etc. Tat`iana Cherednichenko is the reciepient of several prestigious Russian awards, one of them was for this collection of articles. Supplements with a CD with fragments of 19 musical works.
