Il`ia Il`f (Il. Fainzil`berg) (1897-37) and Evgenii Petrov (Kataev, 1902-42) became classics of Russian literature for their dialogy "Twelve Chairs" and "The Golden Calf". This is a reprint of a book first published in 1933. The compiler, Il`f`s daughter, has added more of their stories and essays to this book. Comments.
