Language: RussianFedor Eliseev (1892-1987) found himself on the island of Sumatra at the beginning of WWII. He and other Russian officers of the White Army joined the Foreign Legion in protest of the collusion between Hitler`s Germany and Red Russia. This memoir is about the events of WWII in Indochina, and about captivity by the Japanese. After his release, Eliseev became a historian and writer.
