For both of them the war was a breaking point in understanding what kind of country they live. Gefter offers a new vision and dimension of Tvardovskii’s personality, his diary, poetry and social life. Most of Gefter`s works are directly related to Tvardovskii`s texts or addressed to the same years and realities. Some of verses, prose, journalist reports by Tvardovskii, as well texts by Gefter have not been previously published.
