The Russian Navy lost control over its part of the Baltic Sea in the first moments of WWII and was forced to make its tragic break through from Tallin to Kronshtadt. The catastrophic Tallin march may be compared with the battle of the Russian fleet near Tsushima by its tragic losses. This book by Russian historian A. Platonov describes this tragedy in detail and publishes all major documents related to it (pp. 371-663).
