This book is the first novel by Leonid Latynin (b. 1938) written in 1978 and first published in 1988. The French newspaper Flammarion called Leonid Latynin one of the most original modern Russian writers. The Times Literary Supplement (England) regarded this book as a Russian version of the Apocalypse. The New York Times found the language of this book captivating. Also available two other works of L.
