Russian Menshevik emigres L. Dan and A. Lunge together with Boris Nikolaevskii founded a social-democratic publishing house which they named RRA (Russian Revolutionary Archive). The RRA published several collections on the history of the revolutionary movement in Russia. This new publication includes some of the materials from those RRA publications, but most of the materials are published for the first time. These documents and articles give a broad prospective on the social life of Russia of 1880-1890s. The current volume contains correspondence of Pavel Aksel`rod (1850-1928), a founder of the group "Osvobozhdenie Truda", later a Menshevik, a leader of the Second International, with P.L. Lavrov (1880-1892), L.G. Desich (1881-1884) as well as some letters to P. Aksel`rod. Also included are some current writings by P. Aksel`rod. Indices. Eleven more volumes are planned to be published in this series. Started in 1923. Standing order for the future volumes is available.
