This is a collection of documents and materials about a dramatic episode of the Civil war in Russia: the anti-Bolshevik rebellion in the city of Iaroslavl` in July of 1918. The compilers of this publication tried to avoid a one-sided ideological appraisal of this rebellion and made use of all available sources: documents of the rebels themselves, extracts from their cases in the Cheka, testimonies by initiators and participants in court, as well as materials on putting down the rebellion by the armed forces, and memoirs of the surviving witnesses.
