Moscow: Luch, 2005 304 p Hardcover. 12.5 x 18 cm ISBN: 5889150022 Language: RussianThe Poem "Dangerous Neighbor" was written by Aleksandr Pushkin`s uncle Vasilii Pushkin (1766-1830) in 1811 and became quite well known in the high society circulating in many hand-written copies. Mikhailova created a personal portrait of V. Pushkin, as a devoted Karamzinist, a dandy, a womanizer, witty, kind and a good fellow. This poem has many parallels with the future poem by his nephew "Eugene Onegin". A. Pushkin favored Vasilii over other relatives, and came directly to him after ten years of exile, immediately after the famous audience with Russian tsar in the Chudov monastery; he called him "my Parnassus father". Aleksandr also came to Moscow from his village to see the dying Vasillii in his last moments. All of literary Moscow came to say good bye to the author of "Dangerous Neighbor". Also available: V.L. Pushkin. Stikhotvoreniia (2005).
