This set "Panorama of Constantinople: 1878" includes 10 frames and a guide to them. The guide contains an essay on the history and geography of the city of Constantinopol (Istanbul in Turkish). The circular panoramic view of Constantinople was created by the photographers Pasqual Sebah and Policarpe Joailler in 1878. The panoramic view consists of ten frames: each 26 cm high and 34 cm wide. It is provided with a detailed description of the major historical monuments: towers, fortresses, churches, mosques, etc. Also included are a six-frame panoramic view of the Bosporos. Parallel text in Russian and English.
