This book consists of two works. The first one is a reprint of “A Short Description of the People of Ostiaks”, written by Grigorii Novtskii in 1715. It was first published in St. Petersburg in 1884. The second is “Description of Adherents of Different Faith (Inovertsy), Ostiaks and Samoeds Living in Berezovo Uezd of Siberian Gubernia written by the student Vasilii Zuev”. This work was first published in Moscow in 1947. Both works contain ethnographic descriptions of small indigenous nations living in Siberia at the beginning of the 18th century. Comments. The book printed on excellent paper.
