This is the next volume in the series Linguistic Source Studies published by the V.V. Vinogradov Institute of Russian Language. It contains the most recent publications in linguistic source studies and the history of the Russian language. Among the contributors to this volume are: G. Barankova, M. Gal`chenko, A. Gippius, I. Makeeva, G. Kazimova, I. Kornilaeva, F. Liudogovskii, A. Maiorov, K. Maksimovich, M. Mushinskaia, A. Pichkhadze, and L. Prokopenko. The last chapter includes articles in memory of two Russian linguists Sergei Kotkov and Vladimir Dem`ianov. The appendix contains 20 illustrations of old manuscripts. The series started in 1963.
