[ Condemned by the time : Soviet and Russian procurators: The 20th century: 1954-1992]
Moscow: ROSSPEN, 2006 647 p Hardcover. 14 x 21.5 cm ISBN: 5824306963 Language: RussianThis book continues the series of publications about Russian procurators of 19th-20th centuries by the same authors. The current volume includes biographies of ten Russian procurators of the post-Stalin epoch. The first, Roman Rudenko (1907-1981), became known as the Russian state procurator at the international Nuremberg tribunal. Though he was not as odious in his professional activity as his predecessor, Rudenko was also a reliable party instrument in its persecution of dissenters and other "enemies of the state". The other seven procurators in this book are: Aleksei Kruglov, Aleksandr Rekunkov, Boris Kravtsov, Aleksandr Sukharev, Sergei Emel`ianov, Nikolai Trubin. Illustrated with photographs. Appendices include documents on the history of the office of procurator (p. 417-600). Name index, bibliography. Other books from the series are also available: Tainye Sovetniki Imperii: Rossiiskie Prokurory XIX Vek (1995); V Epokhu Potriasenii i Reform: Rossiiskie Prokurory. 1906-1917 (1996); Raspiatye Revoliutsiei: Rossiiskie i Sovetskie Prokurory.
