This book is the second volume of studies on adaptation by emigres from the USSR to new countries and cultures. The first volume (1999) was about the first wave of emigration who left Russia and spread over the world in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The current volume also includes the second wave, the people who left the country during WWII or immediately after it. Their experiences and their adaptation to new countries and cultures is the subject of this book.
