This is the final sixteenth chapter of the monograph "Gosudarstvennaia Bibliografiia Rossii XVIII-XX vv." This current volume includes the general theory and structure of the Russian national bibliography. The previous fifteen chapters were published in nine volumes in 2000-2005. Boris Semenovker (b. 1935), one of the leading Russian specialists in the theory of bibliographic description and the history of books, is a senior specialist of the Russian National Library (Moscow).
