The forty-eighth volume of the Anthology of Satire and Humor includes works by Vlas Doroshevich (1865-1922), one of the best known Russian journalists, the `king of reporters and the feuilleton" of his time. By the age of 45 he had published a nine-volume collected works of a small portion of his journalism and stories. This collection includes his best topical satire, some of them have not been reprinted since the revolution of 1917. Comments.
