Moscow: Obshchestvo Sviatitelia Vasiliia Velikogo, 2005 863 p Hardcover. 13 x 20 cm ISBN: 5880600416 Language: RussianThis book consists of two. The first is a reprint of the book by Ivan Pavlovich Iakobia, a book with a special fate. It is about the criminal foolishness, cowardice, and betrayal which caused the first Russian revolution and the death of Nicholas the Second. The book was first published in French (1931), then in Russian (1938). It was translated into several languages, reprinted several times and highly appreciated by the Russian emigration: many of them treated it as "The life of the Tsar-martyr". The second part of this book is a collection of publications, reviews and letters, by Russian nobility abroad about Iakobia’s book and its sources. Among the contributors are: Count Pavel Benkendorf, Nikolai Artabalevskii, Count Petr Apraksin, Count Petr Gendrikov, I. Tkhorzhevskii, and many others. Comments.
