Bilimovich, A.D Kooperatsiia v Rossii do, posle i vo Vremia Bol`shevikov
[ Cooperation in Russia before, during and after the Bolsheviks]
Moscow: Nauka, 2005 191 p Hardcover. Printing 520 ISBN: 5020224006 Language: RussianAleksandr Bilimovich (1876-1963), professor of economy and statistics in the Kiev University, later professor of the California University at Berkeley, was one of many Russian intellectuals who was forced to leave Russia after the Bolshevik revolution. His area of study was the Russian agrarian economy, its collective forms and relations. This monograph deals with the history of cooperation in agriculture, its essence, forms, methods and results in the 19th-early 20th centuries. Bilimovich shows how the Bolsheviks kept the form of the cooperative, but compulsorily changed its nature, resulting in the kolkhozy. He also shows how the soviet regime deceived the international cooperation movement by presenting the kolkhoz as a voluntary cooperative. Bibliography, comments.
