This is the first publication of this book in Russia. Sergei Mel`gunov (1879-1956), a historian by education, in Russia. He was one of the first who revealed the truth about the coup d`etat made by the Bolsheviks in October 1917, its main forces, financing as well as forces in Russian society who tried to stop them. Mel`gunov restored the chronicle of these events based on archival sources and memoirs. Also included his other work on the same subject Kak Bol`sheviki Zakhvatili Vlast`, first published in France in 1953. Bibliography, name index.
