Raevskii; Vladimir Raevskii, founder of the families Pisarev, Filosofov, and Unkovskii. The Raevskiis were related with many other glorious Russian families: Tolstois, Mikhalkovs, Golitsyns, Obolenskiis, etc. The author of this book has a typical fate of a Russian aristocrat after the revolution of 1917, called "lishenets" or "byvshii": he and his wife, Princess Urusova, were arrested and spent many years in Stalin`s camps.
