The defense of Petrograd was one of the decisive Bolshevik victories in the Civil War of 1917-1922. It started in Fall of 1917 with General Krasnov’s march on the capital of the new Bolshevik government and ended with the fall of the Kronstadt rebellion in 1921. This book is a reprint of the historical work published in 1929 when events were still fresh. It includes description of all military threats and events in Petrograd and around it during this period.
