This is a collection of four articles on the geopolitical issues in the Caspian Sea region with respect to the changes in the post-Soviet space. The contributors explore energy policies of the five states of the Caspian littoral, which are treated mainly as they are related to different trends in the political and security developments in the Caspian region. Special attention is paid to some key issues: the dynamics of the US policy towards the Caspian region; Turkey`s approaches to the region geopolitical issues as well as Turkish-Russian relations; the activities of some non-regional actors: China, Ukraine, etc. Also included is a list of selected literature and Internet sources on the subject.
