Evgenii Shvarts (1897-1958) came to Russian literature as a writer of fairy tales. Volume four includes the best of Shvarts: poems, fairy tales and plays for children. Also included are two memoirs about Shvarts by Nikolai Chukovskii and Leonid Panteleev. Comments. Also available by the same author: Evgenii Shvarts.
