The term "The Epoch of Transmigrations of Peoples" used by historians for describing the Hun invasion in Eurasia is applied in this monograph to the migration in Southern Siberia and Central Asia which drastically changed the ethnic and cultural history of these territories. Using the same term the authors put this migration in one row with the European one and connect them in one historical perspective. This work is based on excavations of burial grounds of the 3d-7th centuries in the Sayany-Altai region. Bibliography, illustrations (pp. 97-160), tables, supplements.
