Language: RussianDziga Vertov (Denis Arkad`evich Kaufman; 1895-1954) became famous after his first film "The First Anniversary of the Revolution" (1918). But his real fame came after his experimental films Kino-Glaz and Chelovek s Kinoapparatom. His films and scripts are a significant part of what was called a soviet avant-garde. This is the first volume of Vertov`s scripts for documentary and fiction films. The subsequent three volumes will contain his articles and speeches, diaries and letters, information materials and memoirs. Standing order is available.
