Mel`gunov and published in Moscow in 1912 by the publishing house Zadruga. This book is a two-volume anthology of memoirs and biographical sketches by foreigners, mostly French and German generals. Book one, The Invasion of Russia, is about Napoleon himself, his officers, and army. The second, Retreat, cover the period of the withdrawal of Napoleon`s army from Russia.
