This is the fourth volume of the Russian Folklore Collection, Series “Bylinas”, started by the Institute of Russian Literature (Pushkinskii Dom). The first two volumes embrace bylinas of the Pechora River region of the Russian North. Volumes three and four include bylinas of Mezen. Volume four contains 84 black and white illustrations.
