Mark Zaichik (b. 1948) belongs to the generation of the unofficial Leningrad writers and poets (V. Krivulin, V. Shirali, etc.). This book is about the prime minister of Israel Levi Eshkol (Shkol`nik, -1969) in 1963-1967 who succeeded David Ben-Gurion to an office of uncontested authority, and became a great leader in the period of the so called six-day war. This book is also about unknown details of this war and complicated relations among Israel, the Soviet Union, France and the USA in that period.
