This book is the fifth in the series about young people of Russia, their problems, potential and their role in Russian civil society. The current issue is about people who because of their convictions do not want to go into the army and became participants in an experiment of creating alternative service. It includes 25 personal monologues of these young people about their beliefs, motivations, and philosophy of life. This book also presents views of Russian congressmen on alternative service expressed in their speeches in the Russian parliament, the history of this bill until 2002.
