This new publication contains the history of Bulavin`s Rebellion (Don Cossacks) in 1707-1708. It is also related to the long-term discussion about the authorship of the Nobel prize winning novel “The Quiet Don”. Publication of this previously unknown work by Fedor Kriukov, according to its publishers, presents an additional argument which overturns Sholokhov`s authorship and the authenticity of the so called Sholokhov drafts, and supports the theory which names Fedor Kriukov (1870-1920) as the most likely the author of the novel. Two introductions by A.N. Dodda, A.G. Makarov, and S.E. Makarov. Appendices include documents on Bulavin`s Rebellion.
