The personality of the minister of jurisprudence, later the head of the Interim Russian government of 1917 and the commander in chief Aleksandr Kerenskii (1881-1970) was misrepresented in Russian literature for many years. He played a crucial role in the fate of Russia on the brink of the October revolution of 1917. This new biography of this leader follows Kerenskii`s diaries and uses other new documents. The author shows Kerenskii`s achievements as head of the Russian government which were confirmed by his political opponent Vladimir Lenin: "In four months of his rule Kerenskii brought Russia into the group of the most civilized capitalistic countries.” The biography also covers the long period of Kerenskii`s life in emigration.
