[ Guerilla warfare yesterday, today, and tomorrow]

Moscow:  Granitsa, 2003
478 p. [16 ill.]
Hardcover. 17 x 23 cm
ISBN: 5946910086
Language: Russian
Guerilla warfare as a military method has a wide spectrum: from diversion to terrorism. Can this process be controlled by its own government? What are its laws and how did it evolve over time? How was guerilla warfare used, and what are its results in the history of many countries, and in Russia particularly? Russian military historian Viacheslav Boiarskii addresses these questions in his monograph. This book contains a great many examples of specific guerilla operations during WWII and in the second half of the twentieth century. The last chapter shows his vision of partisan movements in future wars. Bibliography.
