The recent attention paid to Fedor Kriukov (1870-1920), writer and politician, is related to the long-term discussion about the authorship of the Nobel prize winning novel “The Quiet Don”. Several authoritative studies of the authenticity of the so called Sholokhov drafts, including the one made by the compilers of this book, came to the conclusion that not Sholokhov but Kriukov is the author of the Nobel prize novel. This book consists of three parts: Introduction; Reprint of the collection "Rodimyi Krai" (1918) dedicated to the 25th anniversary of literary activity of F. Kriukov; A Biography of F. Kriukov by A.A. Zaiats. Other books on the discussion about the authorship of the novel “The Quiet Don” are also available. Bibliographic references.
