This bibliographical index traces the life and work of poet Iosif Brodskii (1940-1996). It includes Russian-language publications released in the USSR, Russia, and abroad in 1962-1995. The book falls into several parts: Works by Brodskii, including his books, publications in periodicals and as a contributor in collective works; literature about the poet`s life and creative activity; iconography; interpretation of Brodskii`s works in art, theater and cinema; the image of Brodskii in art; the image of Brodskii in fiction.
Leonid Batkin (b. 1932) is a well known modern Russian philosopher and philologist. His essays form a part of his polemics with his colleagues and writers A.Ia. Gurevich, D.S. Likhachev, D. Samoilov, Siniavskii-Terts and others.
