This is a textbook on the history of Russian culture for high school and college students studying English. It consists of three chapters. The first one, called Highlights in History, contains essays on the history of Russia from its foundation up to 1991.
Intended for the English-speaking public, this anthology is divided into two parts, each with an introduction. Part 1 covers roughly the first quarter of a century of the soviet state: from 1917-to 1945.
