Language: RussianThe decade of the reign of Anna Ioannovna (1730-1740) was considered by many historians as “bezvremen`e" (time free of any significant events or meaning). This period was studied mostly in connection with the official regency of Ernst Biron and overshadowed by what was called later "Bironovshchina". This monograph analyzes the inner political situation during the decade. Special attention is paid to her politics towards army and fleet, the military transformations that took place in the 1730s, discrepancies between Anna`s political program and its implementation. Supplements (pp. 304 -3) include extensive data on the structure and expenditure dynamics of the Russian army, mobilization, organizational structure of supreme military organs at that time, and more.
