This collection begins the series "The problems of historical linguistics and mentality". The first volume is dedicated to the memory of the philologist-medievalist L. V. Kaporulina (1931-1992). The studies of Old Russian language by her pupils included in this book are divided into two parts: "Grammar, Lexicology and Semantics" and "Russian Mentality in Diachronia"; they are unified by a common approach to the "Russian Word as the ethnos` teleology and justification in its historical developing."
