This book collects translations from English of three important works by the Russian born Wassily Leontief (b. 1906), a Nobel laureate in Economics (1973), and the father of input-output analysis in econometrics. The two latter books were written in cooperation with Faye Duchin. An introduction, written one of the leading Russian economists, Aleksandr Granberg, shows Leontief`s influence on the Russian mathematical economics on the studies of V. Nemchinov, V. Novozhilov, L. Kontorovich, and their followers.
