The Communist International (Comintern), an international revolution-oriented organization, united the communist parties of the world for almost a quarter century: 1919-1943. Even now most of the documents related to the role of the RKP(b)-VKP(b) in the Comintern are politically charged and controversial. The Comintern never took a position different from the USSR`s, and later became more and more an instrument of soviet policy. Though not all decisions were documented, the existing documents shed light on the true relations between these two leaders of Comintern movement.
