This book is the first in a series of publications on Russian metaphysics and mysticism. The collection includes writings that reflect the whole range of esoteric pursuits followed by Russian (specifically Moscow) writers, poets, and philosophers. The book has several sections: metaphysics ( Iu. Mamleev`s "The fate of Being", V. Zakharov`s "The Hero of the absurd and his rebellion; philosophy and literature ("Philosophy of Russian Patriotic poetry" by Mamleev, etc.); interpretations (articles on Rable, E. Po, etc.); symbology ("On the symbolism of a nimbus" by A. Ovchnnikov); esoliterature, poetry. Many authors published in the volume formed their views in Moscow secret clubs of the 1960-1970s.
