This paper reviews ethnically specific aspects of adaptation of the population in Moldavia (i.e. ethnic Russians and Moldovans) to the new socio-economic and ethnopolitical conditions. The author also studies interethnic relations and linguistic situation in the new state. This publication is based on materials of an ethnosociological survey conducted in city of Kishinev in November-December of 2003. Bibliographic references.
