This report analyzes results of studies of civic identity, interethnic perception and intercultural interaction among children of 6-7 years in the elementary school or pre-school group, focusing on cognitive, emotional, evaluative, and behavioral aspects of these phenomena. Great attention is given to adaptation of ethnically and culturally distinct migrants to educational institution. The author addresses problems of interethnic (multicultural) education, oriented towards language, culture and ethnic identity, and aimed at harmonizing interethnic relations.
