Image paradigms in Russian poetic language

The subject of this book is the language of images in Russian poetry and fiction over the last three centuries. It is based on the idea that the poetic image doesn`t exist in isolation, but is connected to a whole phalanx of other images, which together make up what the author calls a paradigm. The main paradigms are described and shown how they are connected in texts, and form new poetic images. The second edition of this book contains over 55,350 images extracted from the works of more than 600 Russian authors of the 18th-20th centuries. Summary in English.
