This is the next volume of selected works of the famous Russian artist, scientist, philosopher and traveler Nikolai Rerikh (Roerich) (1874-1947) . This book is his diary during the famous four year long Central Asian expedition to the Himalayas (1923-1928), a story about the social, material and spiritual life they met there. It was first published in 1930. It is supplemented by two afterwords by ethnographer Iurii Okladnikov and by Iurii Rerikh, son of Nikolai Rerikh. Comments, bibliography.
