This is the first volume in a series of studies dealing with the development of the grammatical structure of Old Russian (11th-14th centuries). The book describes the history of the evolution of plural forms of name inclination in relation to development of the categories of gender and number. It is illustrated with numerous factual examples, most of them introduced for the first time. The authors aim to extend the factual basis of paleorussian studies and to give chronologically consistent, factually proven and comparatively oriented description and interpretation of grammatical structure in its evolution. The series is planned to be continued with works on dual number, history of adjectives, pronouns, and numeric signs. List of sources and literature used.
