This volume contains Russian epic folklore collected in Siberia and the Far East. From various editions, numerous state archives, the materials of fieldwork and private collections the compiler managed to obtain about 800 records of 146 plots of bylinas, ballads, skomorokh jokes, tales on bylina plots, and historic songs of the 16th -18th centuries. Among them were discovered several dozen epic works that have been preserved only in Siberia. Published for the first time are the melodies of epic songs (41 samples). Index of all the Siberian records known to the compiler is presented in one of the supplements. Summary in English.
