The Adyg are one of many ethnicities in the northwest Caucasus. After the dissolution of the Soviet Union many Caucasian nations began to legalize some elements of their traditional legal system, and to revitalize its religious and moral aspects. This monograph studies the moral norms of Adyg society. It is worth mentioning that their word for ethics (Adygism) derives from the their own name, Adyg. These ethics and etiquette were so refined that they set the standard for many Caucasian peoples. This book describes the main elements of Adygism and their relation to the modern legal institutions of this people. Bibliography.
